Salvia elegans is a beautiful flowering perennial grown in partially sunny sites with modest watering during the growing period. Red flowers are borne on terminal ends of the growing stems in mid-autumn and last well into winter. In cold climates the plant will die down and will require fully cutting its seasonal growth in preparation for the new year.
