Coreopsis ‘Moonbeam’ is a low growing flowering daisy that has fine leafy foliage with dainty light yellow flowers. Considered a deciduous perennial in colder climates this one is cut hard to the ground in late autumn where you will find many of the new growing point ready for its early spring growth. Best grown in medium loam soils where it receives some summer moisture this perennial will flower throughout spring and summer. It will benefit from a light tidy deadhead in mid-summer to keep this one going for a few more months. Plant this low grower with taller green shrubs like Azalea, Choysia or even Buxus to mingle underneath where its curious flowers will poke through.
